A short course for sisters on the life of Maryam (as) as detailed in the Qur'an and the birth of Isa (as). Islam is for all times and all people. The story of Maryam (pbuh) informs us of her piety and nobility. She was chosen by Allah (swt) to serve as an example to mankind with her miraculous pregnancy and the miraculous birth of Isa (pbuh) without a father. Thus Allah says: "Verily the likeness of Isa (Jesus) before Allah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: 'Be' and he was." (Qur'an: 59:3)
Can women of our time be pious like Maryam and her mother? Can du'a (supplication) help provide us pious spouses and children? How can professional women become wives, mothers and pious Muslim women while working and contributing to society in different ways?
