118 Question Two As16

Prophet Dawud (Alayhi Salam) is the correct answer.

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said to Abdullah bin ‘Amr (Radhi Allahu Anhu): “Fast one day and give up fasting one day and that is the fasting of Prophet Dawud (Alayhi Salam) and that is the best fasting.” Abdullah bin ‘Amr replied: “ I have power to do more than that.” The Messenger (Sallallahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam) replied: “There is no better fasting than that.” (Bukhari) (Note: This is part of a longer Hadith but I only quoted the portion relevant to the question.)
