The Ansar (the Supporters of the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam)) were the inhabitants of Al-Madinah who embraced Islam, received and entertained the emigrants from Makkah and other early Muslims, supported Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala’s cause with their soul, body and wealth.
