| To everyone who participated in our quiz. Everyone got this answer right. Yes the correct answer is # 3
It is something (e.g. a stick) that a person places a short distance in front of him to allow him to prostrate. It is something (e.g. a stick) that a person places a short distance in front of him to allow him to prostrate (do Sajdah). Any person passing in front of him must pass beyond that mark. It is used when the person is praying alone. When praying in congregation, the Imam acts as the sutra and the Imam must have his own individual sutra in front of him. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said: “When one of you prays, pray towards a Sutra. Stand close to it and do not let anyone pass between you and it.” (Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah)Click here to go to the Answer to Question Two. | |
