A more detailed explanation of Tawhid

Tawhid - The central pillar of belief in Allah as being Alone, Unique and without partner or peer and the only deserving object of worship. It encompasses singling Him out in worship, religious devotion, absolute obedience and love. It signifies Allah as the sole Creator of all that exists while being Eternal, Pre-Existing and Perfect in all His attributes as given in the Qur'an and the authentic Hadith. Possessing pure Tawhid in the heart gives the bearer the right to enter Al-Jannah and ultimate freedom from An-Nar. Unity and Uniqueness of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. – the purely Unitarian concept of God found only in Islam, in which Allah is considered as being uniquely one in His essence, qualities and actions. Sometimes spelt as Tauhid (Islamic Monotheism)

a. Tawhid ar-Rububiyah -Oneness of the Lordship of Allah to believe that there is only Lord for all the universe, its Creator, Organizer, Planner, Sustainer and the Giver of Security etc. and that is Allah.

b. Tawhid Al-Uluhiyah – Oneness of the worship of Allah –to believe that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah.(e.g. praying invoking, asking for help, swearing, slaughtering sacrifices, giving charity, fasting, pilgrimage etc.)

c. Tawhid Al-Asma was-Sifat – Oneness of the Names and Qualities of Allah- to believe that:

i) We must not name or qualify Allah except with what He or His Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) has named or qualified Him,

ii) None can be named or qualified with the names or Qualifications of Allah e.g. Al-Karim,

iii) We must confirm all Allah’s qualification which Allah has stated in His Book (the Qur'an) or mentioned through His Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) without changing them or ignoring them complete or twisting the meanings or giving resemblance to any of the created things.
