| Baarakallahu feek - Literally 'Allah has blessed you' is an acknowledgement of Allah's blessing upon another Muslim. It is most often said as a sign of gratitude to another Muslim recognizing his good or righteous act as a prayer that Allah in fact will bless him. Second pers. pl. baarakallahu fee kum baraa ' - To be free, clear, innocent or to disavow and disown. Al-Baraa' refers to the obligation of Muslims to disown or be clear from disbelief and disbelievers emotionally, psychologically, and in their morals, beliefs and practices that contradict Islam. Its opposite is walaa'. See walaa'. | |
