Question for Hizb 45: What is Zaqqum?

Sorry to all readers, but I am skipping question 42,43 & 44 to catch up with the Quran Reading Hizb.

so, here we are :

question for Hizb 45, which is from Ayah 28 of Surah Ya-Sin (Surah 36), to Ayah 144 of Surah As-Saffat(Surah 37).


What is Zaqqum?

1 - the name of one of the guardians of Hell?

2 - a horrible tree in Hell?

3 - a place in Paradise?

4 - a beverage from Hell?

5 - a kind of soft grass in Paradise?

yes, the answer was 2.

May Allah preserve us from falling into Jahanam and from having to dring some of the zaqum tree liquid.

Here is the proof :

Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)?

Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies).
