27 October · 00:00 - 17:30Location worldwide
Participants do not have to PHYSICALLY be anywhere to participate, but should wear pink and join local efforts to combat cancer throughout October and the rest of the year.
PINK HIJAB DAY SHIRTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE.
Pink Hijab Day is designed to encourage Muslim women and men to participate in breast cancer awareness activities. The event also encourages the curious to ask Muslim women about their Hijabs, or Islamic headscarves.
The event is NO
T meant to become a fashion show. We request that sisters and brothers participating maintain clothing and behavior that is within Islamic guidelines.
All over the world, Muslims participate by wearing pink hijabs, pink ribbons, and donating to breast cancer foundations.
This year's event is scheduled for Wednesday October 27, 2010.
Insha'Allah in the next few weeks t-shirts will be available to order from the Pink Hijab Day in the United States and other select locations.
To participate, you don't have to be anywhere in particular, just wear a pink hijab, pink ribbon, or simply donate to any cancer foundation in your area.
