As Salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Seeking refuge in Allah from the evil HE created.

Khaula bint Hakim Sulamiyya (Radhi Allahu Anhu) reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) as saying: “When any one of you stays at a place, he should say:

“A’oothu bikalimaatil-laahit-taammaati min sharri maa khalaqa.”

Nothing would then do him any harm until he moves from that place.

Abu Hurairah (Radhi Allahu Anhu) reported that a person came to Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) and said: "Allah's Messenger, I was stung by a scorpion during the night.”

Thereupon he (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said: “Had you recited these words in the evening: “A’oothu bikalimaatil-laahit-taammaati min sharri maa khalaqa.” it would not have done any harm to you.” (Muslim)
